Bulky Item Disposal Services
Lancashire House Clearance, a trading name of Clear This Ltd, provide bulky item removal and disposal services in Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Most Local Authorities do provide this service too and are cheaper than us so please do contact your local council first.
Different councils have different rules and waiting times. For example, Chorley Council will NOT go into a property to remove anything and you must put it outside and leave it there for them to collect up to a week or two later.
Settee Disposal
Old sofas and three piece suites are something we deal with however, these now fall within POPS regulations.
POPS is Persistent Organic Pollutants and on top of our removal and disposal charge, there is a POPs Surcharge of £30 per item.
Mattress Disposal
If you are buying a new mattress, it may be worth asking if the retailer you are buying from will remove your old mattress.
Mattresses are another item that we get charged extra for at the recycling center. If its clean, please consider try to donate it to a local charity shop.
Fridge Disposal
It is a well known fact that scrap collectors will not take fridges and freezers. This is because of the cost of disposal and the hazardous nature of the materials in them.
Our fridge / freezer disposal service make sure its disposed of correctly and legally. Collection charge and surcharge apply.
